Empowering Community Initiatives: Giving Back

Posted on May 28th, 2024 to Education by

As a dispensary proudly owned by the Shinnecock Nation, Little Beach Harvest began with a mission to give back to the community. We’ve been busy lately getting involved with community-based initiatives. Take a look at a few ways we’re giving back below.

Support Our Causes by Shopping with Us

Celebrating Heritage with the Shinnecock Elders Committee Collaboration

We’re gearing up for an ART & Craft Fair on June 1st at our dispensary. We’ve partnered with the Shinnecock Elders Committee to celebrate our cultural heritage and bring this event to life.

Striving for Pow Wow Grounds Restoration

Recently, we’ve been focusing on our Pow Wow grounds’ much-needed repairs through upcoming fundraising efforts with the help of the Shinnecock Pow-Wow Committee.

Engaging the Wider Community for Fundraising Support

Save the dates – June 9th & July 20th – for The Car Show & Art Show, where we’ll be fundraising for community projects. Admission is free, and we’ll have everything from classic cars and music to a consumption lounge.

LPP Expungement Program Partnership

We’re working with the Last Prisoner Project on a conviction expungement program for those wrongly impacted by cannabis regulations. Promoting social justice within our community is and always will be one of our top priorities.
